I'm new to OCing cpus. I want to OC my 6700k to 4.6 Ghz. I put 1.25 fixed voltage and it ran perfectly stable on Real bench 15 min stress test using 8GB of 16GB ram.
After as I watched videos about everyday OC use stating that I should set voltage on offset.
So, I set it to 125 and now it's crashing Real bench same test that I ran before. I'm getting Blue screen.

My specs:
6700k
Asrock z170 extreme 7+
16 gb corsair vengence lpx 2400 Mhz DDR4
Please suggest me a proper answer as I'm not understanding after reading available solved threads on this website. Thanks!

Solution
your mobo is same as me.
I OC'd my i5 6600k into 4.5 GHz @1.30v, offset mode using -0.030 under default fixed mode with Load Line Calibration set to level 5.
and my cpu cooler is deepcool captain ex 240.
see if my setting fit in yours.

Yeah, I can't put 1.25 in offset on my motherboard bios so I put 125 and it took it as 1.25.
Error on blue screen was, "unfortunately windows ran into problem, windows is restarting to prevent your system."
Update: Now, I put 130 in that offset, It ran the Real bench on same settings, on 4.6 Ghz, 2400 mhz.
So, is it that 130 is stable for me? Should I keep it for lifetime? And will it affect the lifespan? Coz, if I put everything on auto I saw the voltage going max upto 1.41 volts.
I'm happy that it ran on offset of 1.30 volts and just used 1.22 max. What do you think is it stable now?
Will putting on auto(which took 1.41v max) reduse lifespan and putting offset of 1.30 v(using 1.22v max) will servive more?

Sorry, I didn't read that much. If the error comes again I'll post a reply. Now it's running fine on 4.6 Ghz 1.22 volts.
