I recently set my X99-E back to Default (F5) settings so I could reinstall Windows. My original question was... Do I need to redo my overclocking myself or should it be stored somewhere on this motherboard? I didn't think doing a default set would overwrite the Profile I was using.

Solution
Yes, you need to redo all the overclocking unless you saved it as a profile. If you save it as a profile, you need to enable that profile so the system can make the changes. Otherwise, right now the system is completely factory non-OC CPU, memory, and such frequencies/Voltages.

Ok so I'm clear, setting to default should not have saved over the OC Profile and I should be just fine, correct? I hate to ask a dense question like that but I don't get why a default would save over a OC Profile.
