My computer needed a RAM upgrade so I ordered Corsair VS4GBKIT800D2 DDR2 RAM kit. I recieved it, unboxed it, installed and boom - bluescreen. And now the fun part - when I plug only one module it works perfectly in every memory slot, but once there are two modules plugged in - bluescreen.

I have already tried:
1) Testing if all slots are working with these two RAM sticks - they do

What is interesting that if I install both modules, on my computer it shows that there are 4GB of RAM but only 3.12GB are usable. If I install only one module, then it just says - 2GB of RAM.

OS: Windows 7 32-bit
Motherboard: ECS 945P-A v1.1
CPU: Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2160 1.8GHz

Solution
That normally should not be the issue in that the system will only run them at 667MHz, but if swapping them out for different, slower modules works, then that must be it.
You're using 32-bit Windows which supports a max of 4Gb RAM. But in those 4Gb it also has to reserve RAM for the system, which is why it shows only 3.12Gb available.
Does not account for what appears to be some instability with the RAM sticks.
What is the BSOD message?

I think I found the answer to my question. These are 800MHz RAM modules but my motherboard supports 667MHz and lower.
