Do I need a good motherboard? or is a h110 one fine?

Yes, an H110 will be fine. If your CPU is locked, you don't need a Z-series motherboard.

That should be fine for that system. There wouldn't be much of an advantage going with say a Z170 board with a locked i5.

If budget is there, I'd prefer an H170 as H110 has no SATA support fro M.2 or PCI Express, less USB support. etc
