Ethernet has the exact same speeds as wifi?

Ethernet has the exact same speeds as wifi? I think Im configuring it wrong or something like that, When I plug my ethernet cable into my computer it has the exact same speed as my router,?

is this possible>

your internet speed has nothing to do with your local area network speed

what is your internet speed connection, the contract you got with your isp?

if it is 5 megabits per second, then speedtest just confirmed that

wifi or ethernet will depend on that speed

a good wifi can go up to 500megabits per second, a good ethernet will go up to 1000 megabits per second

a good internet connection, for home, can be on most places 100 megabits but most times is very expensive

the outer or the network depends on how much you pay for that contracted internet connection and will limit themselves to that limit

I suppose that's possible if you can only get 4.5 mbps from a server or isp then it won't matter how you connect (wired or wireless)

If your internet connection is 4.5Mb/s, it does not matter that the connection speed is between your router and the computer is 10Mb/s or faster.

Your Internet connection at 4.5Mb/s is the determining factor and limitation to the speed at which you connect to the internet.

If your mom access the internet your speed will be even slower since you are sharing the bandwith.
