Hi,

I have an old Seagate external hard drive I bought about 5 or 6 years ago. I have since lost the cable that connects it to my computer but can't seem to find the right size in Maplins/local computer shop.

It's Seagate Expansion External Drive, S/N 2GHL8M7Y. Port is wider than a mini-A/B to male-A UBS.

Think it's a mini B slot (not micro B).

No sadly its not a mini B, that would have been easy to buy in Maplins - it's the same width as a mini B but it's thicker...its about 4cm thick, a mini B is more like 2cm thick.

Yeah a mini B or a mini A don't fit. I don't know the model, just the info on the drive itself which says:

S/N: 2GHL8M7Y, 1 TB, P/N: 9SFA4-500

It's really frustrating, I've been to a few high street electronic shops and no one seems to know what it is. Maplins thought it was a mini A which they dont stock, so I ordered one from the internet, but that doesn't seem to fit either.

Any ideas, I would be extremely grateful!
