Will a EVGA 600w PSU 100-W1-0600-K3 be sufficient enough to power my system?

Hi there,

I just bought all my parts for my pc and I forgot to buy the psu (Face Palm) so I looked around on amazon for one. I found one from EVGA that advertised 600w. I was wondering what the peak/ continuous wattage is and is it sufficiant enough to power my system.

Here are my specs:

i5 6500
Gigabyte H110M-S2H Motherboard
Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming 6GB
2 x 8gb ddr4 corsair vengance lpx ram
18 leds rgb strip
4 x 120mm fans

Also would I have enough power/ head room for overclocking my gpu a little?

Completely, your total power usage, less fans and LEDs is only 259W.

FYI, if you put the part in https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ you can see the wattage at the top of the list next to the History button... Very helpful

More than enough wattage, but it is one of EVGA's lower quality units. The B1, W1, P1, G1 units have all been found to have lower quality components.

I'd suggest changing to a Seasonic PSU or EVGA's 2nd or 3rd generation units that have been found to be of excellent quality.

That's plenty for an i5 and a GTX 1060, I've got an i5 and a 390X running off an EVGA 650W PSU myself.

Buy a better quality power supply the W1 series are rather poor. Thats about a 260 watt PC adding LEDs dont even count they draw almost nothing.

Wattage number wise you are totally fine.

I woudl not suggest a W1 though, they are low quality.

I really psu you recommended but will it also have enough power for 4 x sata hdds at 7.2 rpm, 2 x optical drives and a little bit of overclocking on the gpu?? Sorry for this question, this is my first pc and I want to get it right
