Trying to OC my i5 2500k to 4.6 ghz at 1.32

Currently running prime95 to check whether to clock is stable or not.
Looking at temps I can see 1 core has hit 88 at one point, but has since then fallen to around 80, whereas the max for the CPU all together capped out on 77 degrees. My question is should I be worried, or is this quite alraight? When looking at temps, should I look at the cores, or the CPU altogether?

In advance, thank you.

You should be worried mate. You shouldn't have an Intel CPU at over 75C for 24/7 use, so either dial back your voltage or your speeds.

But don't worry about having damaged it. That won't happen unless you use that overclock continuously over months.

An overall temperature would be fine, as it's unlikely the cores will differ too much.
