Hi how are we? I'm wondering if anyone can help me with my question please

So I have an old laptop I found in a skip.

Its an advent 9915w running windows 10. I found it originally running XP and upgraded it to W10 just for laughs and giggles. Surprisingly its running rather well with W10.
However now as I have a few hours to fill with some Frankenstein creation I am wondering does anyone know where I can find a list of compatible processors from?

It is running a C2D T5250 and as old processors are cheap I am considering spending a few £ and getting a bit more out from under the hood it has an intel mobile 965 express chipset. I have seen a few lists but people have said it depended on the brand.
And this is generic Advent.

any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.

You might be able to upgrade the CPU, but it's a little more difficult to do on laptops. There is a strong chance that the Bios won't allow an upgrade due to power and thermal requirements. As stated above, a cheap SSD and more memory will give you better performance in an old laptop.
