Hey everyone, I recently bought gta v on steam and so far It's unplayable due to massive stuttering ( Usually while driving, but also happens when not driving )
My laptop model is Asus ROG GL552VX
Specs : Core i7-6700HQ
RAM : 8GB, DDR4, 2133MHz Samsung RAM
GPU : Nvidia GTX 950M
Hard Drive : Hitachi SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 1TB ( Not sure about the model no. I just pulled this info from Speccy )
No SSD
All drivers were updated before I started playing. I tried monitoring resources in task manager and what happens when playing the game for 5 mins or more is :
- CPU usage rises to 70-75%
- RAM usage goes up to about 90% and stays there
- Disk Usage is at a constant 99-100%
- GPU Load is at a constant 98 - 99%
All temperatures are fine though, mostly 60-70C doesnt go higher than that. Hard drive is usually 40-50C.
So can someone help me identify which part is the bottleneck here ?
Thanks for reading
Edit : forgot to say I'm playing on 1920x1080 on a mix of Normal / High settings
This seems like a wrong place to post this, sorry. I'm still new here and didnt find any "game" categories when posting this thread
