Hey guys,

I'm a noobie builder, this was my first shot at it.

After completing it and turning it on I am not getting anything coming up on my screen.

I am making a headless home media server, with no optical drive. I plan on just using the integrated graphics on the motherboard to set it up and install Ubuntu Server.
Case: Cooler Master Elite 110
Motherboard: Asus h110i-Plus (mini itx)
Ram: Kingston 4gb DDR 4 (on the compatability list for the MB)
CPU: G4400 with stock cooler
PSU 450W
A repurposed 2.5" SSD and 2 x 3.5" WD Red hdd (only have 1 ssd and 1 hdd in at the moment to make the build easier till i get it going.).

So i put it together, plugged in the HDMI to my tv and off it went. CPU, fan, light and hdd led's all going. The hdd's think for a bit and level off - screen remains blank the whole time.

I took the whole thing apart, reseated the ram in the second slot, checked the CPU and connectors, checked the fans were connected, checked the power supply EAX and ATX were connected.

I am on the correct hdmi tv channel, even tried the pc. But no bios screen showing.

I should note i didnt have a keyboard plugged in at the time - i plan on borrowing one from work and a spare monitor to see if it is just an hdmi issue?

Anybody have experience with this kind of thing and any other steps for me to follow?

I will look at getting one. What makes my arse pucker is the freight is three times the cost of the thing haha.

The arse tv is mounted on the wall. and hdmi runs out of a socket. I've used it no issues with my laptop and xbox. I did notice the tv put some text up where the channel (HDMI 1) shows saying 720p when i plugged it into the box, then change when i take it out. Ither than that, just blank

Apologies i didn't word that very well. The HDMI come out the the TV hdmi 1 port through the wall with a plastic face plate to make it look fancy rather than a hole in the wall, then out the wall near the devices through another hole with a plastic face plate. Its all HDMI from end to end, just hidden behind the wall.

I took the box into work today and plugged in a VGA cable, my monitor and keyboard - fired it up and i see BIOS! Praise be to jebus.

Not something i can explain but one of you build buffs might understand it better!

Thanks for your input though Paul. I was at my wits end.
