Faster CPU or more Ram?

I am looking at two laptops one is a I5 with 12gigs of Ram

The other is a i7 with 8 gigs or Ram both are a generation 6 CPU

I am basicly trying to figure out what system would be better for just boot up speed and loading programs and browser tabs open as in more the 6 at a time.

But then its cheaper and easier to buy extra sticks of RAM than it is to upgrade from i5 to i7 if OP wanted too.

Thats my opinion, get the i7 system and then buy 8GB more RAM, that would be the ideal machine.
