PC suddenly shut down while encoding video and won't start again

Hi guys.

I have this custom computer for more than 2 years, I was encoding a video, I got out for some seconds to play with my kittens, walked back in and my pc was off. I tried to turn it on but nothing. I waited some minutes, unplugged the PSU cable and waited for some minutes and tried to turn it on, it started but it turned off after some seconds. I did the same thing some time later, it almost loaded windows but it shut down. At the last attempt to enter the BIOS, I got no image in the screen. What happened? Could it be a dying PSU? Did I just kill my computer by trying to start it like 4 times? I'm desperate. Sorry for my bad english, I am not a native speaker and I am not practicing anymore.

Could potentially be a number of issues.

+ Overheating - Ensure CPU cooler is making good contact with the processor, re-apply thermal paste in the process (Clean the old thermal paste off with micro fibre cloth and CPU cleaning kits you can get online or rubbing alcohol 70% will be fine).

+ Looks to me it could be more likely a power supply issue - If you have an old PSU lying around, test the system out with the old PSU. Seeing as the system sometimes refuses to turn on. It potentially could be the culprit.

I think it is unlikely to be overheating since I changed the thermal paste not a long time ago and I was always looking at the CPU temps, never above 45/50c while encoding, and I live in a very, very hot place. But I noticed that the CPU fan was pretty loud last months regardless of the CPU temps but I think it was normal because of the room temps (always 35c+), right? What about I getting no image in the monitor in the last attempt to enter the BIOS? Is the computer dead?

Yeah I would say that is normal temps if the system is in a hot/warm room.

Regarding getting no image on the monitor, could relate to the graphics card. Your motherboard should have on-board graphics (Usually VGA or DVI, but can be HDMI on the motherboard I/O). You could try connecting to the monitor via the on-board graphics to see if it works. If it does, well you know the issue is related to the Graphics card.

If that does not fix it. It must be another hardware issue.

Specs
Mobo Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
PSU Cougar CMX 700W
Ram Kingston 1x8gb @1333mhz
CPU FX-8320 BE
GPU Zotac GTX 760 2gb
HDD Seagate barracuda 1tb

It will be really hard and take a lot of time to get another psu, everything here is abusively expensive and no computer stores around that sell decent parts, items ordered online take ages to be delivered. Can tests ruin an HDD If the PC keeps shutting down? I am having a really hard time trying to find quality (compatible with the mobo) PSUs gere.
