Hello, I'm new here.

I have gtx 970 and i7 860 and its time for new cpu and motherboard.
Looking for something that is similar to performance with my gpu gtx 970.
Is i5 6600k or 7600k enoguh? Or its better to look i7?
And at the end I need motherboard, something not too expensive but to serve the purpose. I want to put into it ddr4 2x8gb.
Thank you and sorry for bad english.

Solution
1. The 6600k is more than enough

2. The 7600k is a bit to new for my taste ... I prefer to wait until later steppings when all the performance tweaks are in place and all the bugs ironed out before I invest in new tech . Come late April, the situation will have improved.

3. The i7 is faster outta the box, but you can overclock to match and get it close enough that you'd need a benchmark to tell the difference. If you do things besides gaming, such as video editing, CAD, rendering, etc, then the i7 is worth the investment. If not, then investing an extra $100 for a slight performance increase is something that may not be right for you.

4. If ya wanna live on the bleeding edge, you can swap out the Z270 board for the Z270 version and 7600k. Assuming you are keeping cooler and everything else.
