Hey all, new around here but im having some massive problems with my recently purchased i7 7700k.

Previous Spec:
i5 6600k
GTX 1070
16GB RAM DDR4 2400Mhz
H100i V2 AiO cooler
ASUS Z170-K

(All temps will be posted in centigrade)

I currently have a Z270-F ASUS ROG on the way but had installed it in this board first.

I will walk you through what has happened:

-In preparation for the new CPU I upgraded my Z170-K to Bios 3017 (Obviously this is still only a beta patch!).
-i7 arrives, installation begins, some pretty erratic heats, my first i7 so was shocked at the values in comparison to my low 15-17 degrees idle temps on i5, as these where idling up from 30 degrees.
- Notice im only showing 8GB RAM, but all slots in bios are showing that they are taken up. Windows also only shows 8GB, but CPU-Z shows 16GB, the intended value.
- Check all RAM sticks, no issues.
-Reseat chip, no difference.
-Reinstall 6600k, values back up to 16gb, leaving i5 in until the 270-F arrives.

Posted below are the screen shots to show you what I mean:

Now, I have ruled out any faulty hardware by testing everything, my concerns are a faulty CPU, or maybe a problem with the Bios?

Will appreciate any help/reassurance.
