Hi, I have a new build pc using a Gigabyte Z170X-UD3 Ultra MOBO. This is the first time I have built a pc. From watching videos, etc, I know I need to download drivers (audio, inf, intel management engine, lan, intel rapid storage technology). I can find them all on the Gigabyte website and download them individually. I also see some others that I am not as sure about (Thunderbolt drive and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5).

I also see that Gigabyte has a tool called the Gigabyte download center. I assume it is a utility you can download and run and it tells you what you need.

Does anyone have preferences for a tool like this? Is it better, especially for a newbie, to use this rather than pick and choose what I think might be the right drivers? I am leaning towards trying to learn more by doing them individually. If I am missing anything I would appreciate being told!

I do know that for graphics, I will go to nvidia to download drivers.

Thanks for the help!

Most of the drivers you won't need on their website. chipset, USB, LAN, and audio is pretty much all you need. Device manager will show yellow exclamation marks next to the devices that need drivers. Graphics card drivers can be downloaded from the manufacturers website. ie: Intel, nvidia, AMD.
