I have pc with 250GB SSD, but i wanted more storage, so i bought 2x 1TB Seagate HDD. I want to add them as RAID 0 to my system.
I have this motherboard which should support RAID. Asrock 980DE3/U3S3 R2.0
In BIOS i enabled RAID mode, set up both HDD in RAID 0 from RAID menu, but than my SSD disappeared from boot menu and i can`t get into windows anymore. If i set AHCI mode, i have my SSD and i can boot from that, but than my RAID 0 disappears and disks doesn`t even show up in "This PC" as normal HDD. Can`t get them both working at same time. I want SSD to stay as my main OS storage device and 2x1TB HDD RAID 0 as extra storage for other files. Any ideas what im doing wrong or should to get this working?
- EDIT -
I restored my system using "SYSTEM RESTORE" and
set up my BIOS Storage configuration as said here:
Onboard SATA controler : ENABLED
SATA operation MODE: RAID
SATA IDE Combined Mode: Disabled
Onboard SATA3 Operation Mode: AHCI mode
With these settings i got my SSD and RAID 0 setup to show up in boot menu and got into windows, but still RAID 0 storage doesnt show up in "This PC".
- EDIT 2 -
I went into disk managment and created new volume, now all is working as it should.
