Just ordered and built a new PC, parts list below, but the display is being very uncooperative to say the least. I can see everything on screen, but as soon as the screen has an update, it takes about a second to register and display that update. It's hard to describe, but it happens while playing games, watching videos, even scrolling on a page. Whenever it needs to show something new, I can see a line move from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen showing the updated image. It doesn't render use of the computer impossible, however very un-enjoyable seeing as it was meant to be a gaming PC. Is it possible that I'm experiencing all these issues because Linux doesn't have the correct drivers for the new 7th gen series of Intel processors? Or is there something else going on here? Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

OS is Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon.
If this is indeed an issue with the OS, could somebody please assist me in installing Windows 10 on this PC? I have a USB with the IO burnt into it, but can't seem to get the computer to boot off of it.
Another odd sidenote: Steam and Steam games are accessible on the new rig for some reason.
