Im going to use a noctua 120ml and 140ml industrial PWM 300 RPM fans. 140ml at the front and 120 on the top. Im also going to use a Noctua NH-L9x65 CPU cooler. The case is http://www.lian-li.com/en/dt_portfolio/pc-q08/. Would this be enough cooling inside this case?

i abandoned completely optical drives installed on my pcs years, alost a decade

rarely i use one

for those cases i use a lg external usb dvd burner, it has worked well and is usb 2.0 which is enough for that

a blurary drive exists in both usb 2 and usb 3 but netflix made me not buy or get any more movies this way, steam is the same for games

i have a corsair carbide 250d, it is very big for a itx case but you can fit whatever you want in there and comes with space for radiator and many fans, the only limitation is the height of the heatsink, that noctua should fit there very well, i think the limit is 120 mms and it has space for 4 drives and a optical drive bay

just one idea

another idea is that manta itx from nzxt, but is too...

CPU-Intel core i7 6700k
Noctua NH-U12S CPU Cooler
MOTHERBOARD-Asus maximus viii Impact
RAM-8GB G.skills Trident z
GPU-Evga nvidia gforce 770
SSD-Samsung 120gb evo
HDD-Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
PSU-Corsair 860 modular
Pioneer BDR-S09XLT 5.25 inch Optical drive

I want to fit the above into a mini ITX case as a Small compact media and gaming pc.. I want to fit these components in my Lian li PC-Q08 case. The 770 GTX has 2 fans which means its the custom cooler version. Would you know if this system would be ok and that the airflow will be ok?

good psu for this build

the gtx, are you sure that physically fits? this case limits the length to 30 millimeters, not sure what evga you have there, lets hope it is not 330 milimeters model

the cpu is what matter here and you have a decent noctua listed there but it requires good airflow since it blows hot air down, not up iirc

theoretically, you are on the limit here but i a not completely sure

this case seems ideal to be used with a watercooler, a aio for the cpu, mounted instead of that 120mm fan in the back, not sure here

Would I be better off ditching the 5.25 inch optical bluray drive and the case and get a fractal design define s nano the mini itx version. Since this case doesnt have an option for my drive i can get an external one?

another idea is that manta itx from nzxt, but is too curvy and big, perhaps not the best option but will let you fit even more options for cpu heatsinks, almost nything you want, without the optical drive bay iirc it doesn't have one

are you looking to fit it on a small space or just want a smal itx pc?

manta and corsoair are itx but just in name more or less, the lian li is really small, two thirds of the corsair i have more or less
