gateway DX4800-05e- can it run a Q9650?

Took a Gateway DX4800-05e in as a trade. Works fine, has a E5200 dual-core, nVidia 9200 chipset, 6gb DDR2, 240Gb SSD, GTX750Ti video card, running Win 10.

I have a Q9650 in my boxes of old parts, can't seem to find any info on whether this system can run it or not.

Then try it with the current BIOS. If it works you're good. If not, you'll know at least if you should keep trying for a bios update.

Not sure why the BIOS update doesn't work. Either someone somewhere along the way changed the BIOS chip, or you got the wrong download.

Unfortunately the BIOS update I downloaded from Gateway says wrong ROM ID when I run the flash program.
