core I3 acceptable for recording gameplay/ editing?

I'm building a gaming pc with a budget of $600. I am going to record gameplay for YouTube.. I'm wondering if a Core I3 would work or do I need a I5.

Here is my part list if anyone is wondering.

That list does not load anything. But my recommendation is, if you can afford an i5, get it. If not, then a i3 will work, but will be slow when it comes to editing. You will benefit with those two extra cores.
