Yeah I read the spec sheet , still just wondering if anyone has ever tried installing a xeon in this board. I see that the Optiplex 990 Q67 chipset can run a xeon though it does not specifically say that it supports it on the spec sheet. I don't know what heppened for that PC from that seller. Sometime you can install a cpu into the MB that needs to have the same socket, even the cpu is not in the cpu support list, and you will take the 50-50 chance, also sometime the cpu will show up in a different type cpu too. If the MB is retail brand, I recommend to try, for OEM PC I will not recommend to try.
