Has anyone ever tried to run a Xeon E3-1200 series cpu in this motherboard 0KRC95 ? Just wonder if any of the xeon's would work in this , thank's in advance...
I don't know what heppened for that PC from that seller. Sometime you can install a cpu into the MB that needs to have the same socket, even the cpu is not in the cpu support list, and you will take the 50-50 chance, also sometime the cpu will show up in a different type cpu too. If the MB is retail brand, I recommend to try, for OEM PC I will not recommend to try.
I don't think you can, because the dell will not make the BIOS for the Xeon for the q77 chipset MB. They did list the MB can support i7, i5, i3, Pentium Dual Core, Celeron only, not the Xeon.
