Yeah, it probably doesn't but I still want to know. I don't see any physical damage that is obviously visible, but I know capacitors are very delicate and its been sitting on my hard wood floor in my closet getting dustier for about a year and a half. How could I check to see if could still run?
pny gtx 740 gpu sitting in my closet without protection for over a year. How do I know if it still works?

I'm positive it still works, just wipe the dust off of it. Unless you've been tossing random heavy stuff on top of it, it will be fine. Computer parts are much tougher than many people realize. The only things you really have to be careful of are things with moving parts like HDDs and fans, but even then, a lot of them can stand up to a decent amount of punishment.
