im relatively new to pc gaming and don't know much about computers except for how to use internet. i noticed that one of the fans seemed louder than usual (i've had this pc for a month) i went into bios and turned the fan to a lower speed but noticed frame rate drops so i went to change it back but i'm still getting hitches. update: This is getting ridiculous. so I update the nvidia graphics driver and games are running worse. this is b.s

model# power spec g1500
Processor: core i5 6500
Memory: 8gb ddr442133
GPU: nvidia gforce gtx 1050ti

Solution
1. regarding you ": reboot and select proper bot device" that was cuase by the rest of default settings, you need to get into your bios and set your hard drive as the first item to boot.

2. I believe your seeing like triangles and such?
3. normal temps for PC under load should range about 60-70c and video card maybe a little hotter. but no more than 80c

Reset the bios to the default settings. Make sure you have the latest gtx 1050ti driver updated. Did you make sure you have cpu thermal paste on or how long ago was it applied? Make sure the pc is situated in a place which allows sufficient airflow. Check that you are running the ram at the specified speds some state 1600 but are 1333 and need to be changed via xmp profile

I believe you mean the PowerSpec G150 ! http://www.powerspec.com/systems/system_specs.phtml?selection=G150
if you have had it for a month, I would suspect nothing wrong with thermal paste...

I do not believe the memory could possibly7 be running at 1600 MHz when the board only support 2133mhz and that is what the system is fitted with.

In any case before suspecting that I would ask you to run SPECCY and get temperatures of the cpu and video card to see if it is even a heat related issue.

Fans make noise means it running faster and under gaming conditions this happens. and is normal.

what do you mean by " but i'm still getting hitches" ?

The Paladin When I play games I get sudden fps drops also there is weird texture flickering and pop ups. also what do you think would be a normal temp for this pc. Valkyrieneos I actually did change it to default and got this message "reboot and select proper boot device" I managed to get off of this screen but whenever I start the pc up I still encounter that screen. My pc is on a table and the back of it is 3 inches from the wall.
