Hello everyone, I am very new to this site and forum, but I've been having this problem for a while now, ever since I upgraded to many new components for my PC.

During Black Friday, I bought a GTX 1050 Ti (PNY Xlr8), an AMD FX 8350, and a MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard, I'll put the rest of my specs down later. I've been looking all over google and I can't find the solution to my problem, so I figured I would ask you guys. I often play a lot of FPS games, and I watched a lot of benchmarks done by people who have the same card and the same processor, and they get upwards of 60 frames per second. Meanwhile I struggle to get 40 frames, I don't know if it is a severe bottleneck, but I have tried every video and every setting, in Battlefield 1 for example, I put my game on ULTRA settings and I get 20 fps, I customize my settings a bit and I get at most 50 frames, it will sometimes boost up to 65 but it will usually stay at around 28 - 38. I see these benchmark videos and these people have the same card I have and they get a consistent 60 fps and sometimes go into the high 80's.

I've tried
Updating my drivers
Going into control panel and checking all the settings
going into In-Game settings and setting it to low
making a user.cfg file
going into my documents and altering some settings
I've even tried overclocking but somehow that doesn't even work\
console commands e.g. - gametime.maxvariablefps 65

So I'm asking you guys, what can I do?

My specs are
Windows 8.1
Acer 60hz monitor
GTX 1050 Ti
AMD FX 8350
MSI 970 Gaming
Crucial 8GB DDR3 Memory
WD 7200 RPM HDD

Please help me out, because this is the only game I struggle to get good frames in, I get a consistent 90 frames in BF4, 80 frames in Rainbow Six Siege. I really do not know what is the problem.

Thank you!

Yeah but I'm not trying to overclock it, I just want to get the same FPS as the benchmarks in the youtube videos. I got this card solely to play Bf1, and Insurgency, and it can't even run that game at barely 60 frames at medium settings. So I don't know what to do. I'm not trying to be rude but I'm just really frustrated right now.

I did some looking before I started to build my first pc, which by the way is the same one you described I looked up all the recommended requirements for all the games I wanted to play. Such as Rainbow six siege, Battlefield 1, GTA V, ect. and seen that Battlefield 1 recommends 16gb memory.

I'm not an expert, infact everything I learned about computers is from watching LinusTechTips on youtube. I don't know if your problem is ram but that's just my best guess.:)
