im upgrading to a gtx 1070 from a 780. so naturally being the idiot that i am pushed HARD into the locking mechanism in the pcie slot that holds the card into place. when the card wouldnt come out i pushed even harder. i then pulled using no force and the card was free. would this amount of stress damage the board or lock?

Solution
If nothing looks like its broken then it most likely not. Ive done similar things. If it still locks the GPU into place then im sure its fine.

Well, you have to push pretty hard. When it clicked did it sound like anything broke?
