What do I do to see if a graphics card is compatible with my system/case?

I have the signature revolt compact case from IBUYPOWER and I'm looking for a graphics card that gives me the best bang for my buck around the 150$ range.

I currently have the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti and I desperately want to upgrade.

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz

500 watt power supply.

I'm looking at the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and I'm afraid that it won't fit in my case. What should I be looking at? I don't have a lot of knowledge of hardware components.

update: So I looked at the specs of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti and it looks like the size is the exact same for the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Graphic Card. Can anyone confirm this, so I don't make a mistake?

Solution

just measure the space

that will give you max gpu length

then make sure your power supply has the proper pcie cables for whatever gpu you get
Measure the length your current card with a tape measure.
Measure the amount of extra space you have past the card to your drive bays
Add them together
Look at cards & find one that will fit that dimension easily (all these card have spec sheets on their manufacturer websites that show dimensions)

Or post your case model here & we'll let you know what cards fit

Thanks for the help! I guess they don't sell the revolt anymore. They have the revolt 2 out. How can I find the model #?
