Title says it all, i currently have the msi rx 480 4gb since it was on sale for $206 and i was wondering if i should switch it out for a gtx 1060 6gb. I know it will cost me more but i want better performance. So if anyone knows a good model to get please post down below.

Even with a full refund, it doesn't make much sense spending more to get the 1060. The latest comparison between the two cards shows the 480 has closed the gap and there is practically no difference at all.....don't use 6 month old youtube clips to compare them, look at latest comparisons.

The only reason to even consider the 1060 6GB would be it you're going to upgrade to a higher resolution monitor, at 1440X900 you don't even need 4GB. I'm using an R9 290X 4GB (which is equal to or better than the 480 and 1060) at 1920X1080 I've never run out of VRAM, even on the latest games, so you certainly don't need any more.

And i will be upgrading my monitor by the end of this month just looking for a good one at the right price.

Mobo: MSI Pro Solution Intel Z170A LGA 1151 DDR4
Cpu: i5 6600k
Ram: G.SKILL 16GB (2 x 8GB) TridentZ Series DDR4
Gpu: MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB
psu:evga 500w 80+ bronze. Only reason i have this is because i bought it a few months back and never used it so i decided not to spend money where it wasn't really needed.

not worth it at all unless you sell the 480 for the same amount you got it for or trade 1 for 1 with someone
