does my cpu bottle necking my gpu or what?

My system specs..
asus M2N68 AM SE2
AMD athlon 64x2 dual core 4000+
nvidia geforce 310 512mb
2gb ram
350 watt PSU


Can any one please suggest me, why i cant run assassins creed 1 at max graphics....?
And i can barely run gta 4 with 5 to 6 fps at minimal graphic settings. this is my cpu performance while playing assassins creed 1.

Whether should i upgrade my CPU, RAM or GPU..? If so, please suggest me any better option.

Every part of that computer is too weak to do what you ask. It'll require an entire new computer to do what you want there is no upgrade to accomplish this

Thanx a lot for your valuable response but I am on a tight budget, that's why wana upgrade it instead of buying a new one,
What if upgrade my processor to AMD Phenom ll X4 965 or so, and replace 1x2 GB ram by 2X2 GB ram..? Is that suitable.?

Thanx for your suggestions, so after listening to all this its better for me to assemble a new PC, Thanks a lot..
Would be an additional favor, if you suggest me a PC with minimum specifications to do what i described earlier..
