So my problem is my monitor is 1920x1200 and there is a resolution option for that size the problem is when i select that size it makes my screen all blocky and pixely and the colors are really messed up. A fix i found is to move it down to 1920x1080 which happens to be the only resolution option that clears my screen up making it look somewhat normal again text looks sorta blurry. Some of the other resolutions really mess up the screen one makes everything all pink. But anyways it leaves a black border because its not the correct 1920x1080. Ive tried to make custom resolutions using amds program but nothing seems to work it just makes the screen all pixely like before... some full screen programs work fine but other ones make the screen all blocky like when i put the resolution to 1920x1200. maybe some type of program could fix my problem? Ive been stuck trying to fix this for 2 days now. any help would be appreciated.

So i went to walmart and bought a hdmi to dvi converter and it fixed it completely. Perfect quality and size / resolution. Thanks for the help guys!

Your issue could be a failing video card ifyou can't run it at the screen resolution. Try a new cable, try a different video card. The reason things are not as smooth as when you are on native resolution is because the monitor is adjusting the pixels to fit around your resolution, LCD panels have a fixed pixel count and when you change resolution from the non-native one they need to basically "fake" the resolution, they are not like CRTs which handle resolution changes much better.

I would hope its not a failing video card since i just got it like 3 days ago. I have hdmi plugged in now I suppose i could go get a dvi cord and see if that helps at all. Thank you though
