Hello everyone,

i am currently building my first pc. I am using an Z10-p, a Kaby Lake 7600k prozessor and a 16GB Corsair Value Select DDR4-2133 RAM CL15 RAM. I just used these parts plus psu and cpu cooler, to get into the uefi. Initially i used the shipped uefi, but didnt get any signal on my monitor. I thought the uefi version was to old for Kaby Lake so i bought a new uefi chip with the version 2003. Now when i start the pc it runs for approximatly 5 seconds turns itself off and on again for 5 secs and so on. Interestingly the system behaves exactly as it would when i take the uefi chip out. Also i did a cmos reset several times.

Any ideas what the error could be?

Thanks in advance

Alright the error was the pretty obviose one, once you have solved it. It seems that the two bios chips i ordered were defect. I used the old bios chip with an 6600k and it booted instantly, then i updated the bios to 2003, changed the processor to the 7600k and it worked. It seems logical since it behaved the same way with the new chips and without any inserted to the mb. The old bios chip was the only one working properly, just not with the right uefi version for my processor.

P.S. if you change the bios chip you should really use a chip puller or at least whatch a youtube tutorial. Ohterwise its extremly easy to rip of a foot of your chip.
