Do you need to recover any data from that drive, or you just want to make it work? It really sounds like it's in a pretty tough shape. So if you don't need to recover data from it, I'd recommend that you try to test it with its manufacturer's diagnostic tool and RMA it if it's faulty and still under warranty.
You could also give it a go with a different computer or at least with different SATA cables and port, to see if the same issues occur.
