Hello People,

So my Girlfriend has got fed up of me playing Ark in front of her on PC while she plays it on PS4 and finally decided to get a PC.

So the goal is to make it cheap as I can and also have it be a decent yoke that she can run everything on.

The budget would be €400-€450 id say so very low.

I'm just looking for general advice on the build and where I would get the best bang for my buck,

Here is the current list, very quickly made so feel free to tell me where I could get better value

Thanks Everyone,

Here is another option. The new Pentium is hyperthreaded, and not much different, performance wise, than that of an i3 6100. This gets you a much better graphics card too.

What do you have?

When opting for a PC instead of a console I'd not purchase a low end i3 skylake. I'd get nothing less than the 6400 i5. Yes, that is significantly more expensive but it isn't the 6700 i7 either. She would want to see a significant boost in graphics and with the dual-core i3 in play the boost wouldn't provide her with the I'm glad I changed to a PC. The wow factor wouldn't be there. The extra investment in the more powerful and efficient quad-core would return a SIGNIFICANT FPS boost.

Yes, I realize this is outside of the budget. But this wouldn't necessarily be an upgrade from a PS4. Patience and some more time to save money.

I really like that build actually but £441.99 is €510 Euro and that's unfortunately is just out of price range .

If you had to scrap £50-£70 from that what would be the best I could get for the money?

€450 would be max price and that would be £390.

I myself have a GTX 1070,i7 2600k and 16gb Vengence.

Yes,I do understand what you mean I don't want to get it built and then it runs similar to how the PS4 was running it.

But the PS4 version looks and runs so bad, seems like low and 20fps or something its so odd that anyone could play it.

I would like to convince her to spend more but I'm not sure if that will happen as of yet as she has a PS4 and is fairly content with that to an extent.

I build a rig for my brother with a i3 Skylake and my old GTX 670 and that runs BF1 on medium on decent FPS and stuff so I'm just looking for something similar that can give good results and a good entry level gaming PC that would outdo a PS4.

A bit off topic...Is your 2600K overclocked? Did you see an FPS increase? Monitor?I've seen questions regarding that combo. Curious.

Not currently overclocked as I'm lazy and have not needed too really (but I definitely should soon).

Yes I upgraded from the 670 to the 1070,On BF1 I went from Med 30 FPS to Ultra 60+ FPS.

In saying that I do realize my CPU is still bottle-necking to an extent.

I only have a standard 24" 1080p 60hz Monitor :(

I really only got the 1070 to future proof myself as I had some spare dolla's and wanted to make sure I would not have to worry about a GPU for a while.I plan on upgrading my CPU and Monitors soon....hopefully.

Even tough alot of people say my CPU will be fine for a good while more If i OC it.
