I want to know that why an NVIDIA GPU is expensive than an Intel CPU.
I can get i7 around 400$ but a high end GPU cost more why?

Any reason?

Solution
A GPU has a GPU chip, RAM and a motherboard all bundled into one. A CPU from Intel is just the CPU, you have to buy the RAM and Motherboard separately. So no the prices are not out of line with each other.
Well, first of all, they can be priced that high. Intel could price their i7 at $600, but because they mainly sell to OEMs they go lower. NVIDIA can sell stuff for a lot more.

And when you get down to it, GPUs are more expensive. A GTX 1080 has more transistors, plus high priced RAM and a cooling solution.
