May I throw out, irrelevant?
Support as in if you have to call MS for issues, you got bigger problems.
Support as in they stop issuing updates?.... amazingly lots of apps will still work, I have apps that still works for XP, is not like OSX, Windows apps seems to be backward compatible for the most cases.
Support as in no update viruscan? Hackers have moved on to newer machines.
Only if you must have the latest direct-X, *maybe* latest net framework. etc.
