I have had my pc for about 6 years now. About a year ago i started having issues where my pc would start up then shut down itself, i figufed out it was the psu and bought a new one and it has ran fine until now. Today i turned on my pc and after 5mins it shut down. I suspect the issue to be with my 6 year old motherboard however i just wanted to get other opinions before i go an buy one.

Solution
A few reasons can cause this, once it turns on, it stresses the GPU a bit more, if it is very damaged, it could shut down if it overheats.
Same could be with the CPU, since it's an old build, the CPU might be even older.
Both of the above options would shut it down INSTANTLY, no "Shutting down.." screen.
The PSU is new, so that's most likely not the problem.
Start it up, go into BIOS, you should be able to read some temps on the first page.
