I recently salvaged two HP desktop computers.I know they are pretty old !! 
One was an Intel Core 2 quad and the other was an Intel vPro E6750(PLGA775 socket). Only the former one was in full working condition. The later motherboard was damaged though the CPU seems to be working. I tested it on a friends PC. I have an old HP desktop lying in my store which I dusted off yesterday, installed windows 10 on it. Its specs are Intel Core 2 Duo E2180(LGA775 socket), 2GB RAM and 250GB HDD.So, is it possible to upgrade the CPU to E6750? I'm confused if the socket will be an issue or are they the same? Oh one more thing, don't know if this is relevant. The motherboard is an ECS Livermore8 v1.0.
