New computer to build

Hello,

I have semi complete list of components for my new computer MAINLY for gaming and occasional workstation work: home video production, or statistic computations in both cases using CUDA etc. Please could you advice on this?

First what should I change to avoid bottlenecks. Can the configuration be more economic. And most important whether this configuration can work at all. I will really appreciate any comments and help.

I really have problem to choose motherboard. I tried to compare a few but the specifications look so similar on website that it is hard to see what would be the best for me. I also don't know how much power I lose if I choose i5 7600K over i7 7700K. Is 0.7 GHz extra worth extra £100?

My plans are to buy: one more video card perhaps something cheaper than GTX1070, improve cooling system into hydro--it's too expensive now to add it to my list, one more optical drive. I really need to build a new comp as the old is literally dying whenever I run any game.

Thanks

My list (first item is my preference):

....Processor:
Intel Core i7 7700K Kaby Lake 4.2 GHz 4/8 core
Intel Core i5 7600K 3.8 GHz 4/4 core

....Heatsink:
Arctic Freezer i32

....Motherboard:
Asus Z170 A, Asus Z170 Pro, Asus Z170 Pro Gaming (very hard to choose)

....Video card:
MSI Geforce GTX 1070 GAMING Z 8GB
ASUS STRIX-GTX1070-O8G-Gaming, or

....Memory:
Corsair Vengeance® LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2400MHz C14 Memory Kit

....Case:
Corsair 760T Full-Tower Windowed Case
Corsair 750D Full Tower ATX Case

....Optional:
DemciFlex Obsidian for either 760T or 750D
Windows 10 Home
Optical drive (Blueray)
Second video card.

======= .... Already have:
Samsung SSD 500 GB (Windows)
Samsung SSD 250 GB (Linux)
WD Black 4TB Performance Desktop
PSU XFX 750W
Optical drive (DVD)

The only thing that I would change is go with a Z270 mobo, there are a lot of new neat features that the 270s have and since you are going Kabylake, then why not? If you are ONLY going to be gaming on this rig, an i7 isn't needed. If you are going to be streaming while gaming, then you'll want the i7. If you are video editing or rendering or something, you'll also want the i7. As for which board, it's all preference, but like I said, go Z270. Same with case, it's whatever you like and want to spend money on. Now, I would not go with an SLI setup since there is always some kind of micro-studdering issues, plus not all games properly support SLI. I would just buy 1 1070 and if in a year+ you need to upgrade, then there should be...

Your either going to need to change the processor to a 6700K or change the board to a Z270.
Unless your fine with updating the boards BIOS before you can use the PC.
If you need 32gb of memory then the i7 is the only way to go.
For the video card depends on the monitor resolution and refresh rate.
For the 6700K or 7700K their no performance difference when clocked to the same speed.

Thanks for answers and suggestions on i7 and updating to Z270 chipset.

Regarding 32GB RAM, why is i7 the only option here? Both i5 and i7 supports max 64 GB RAM. I understand i7 is better in terms of application usage but don't follow with this argument regarding memory. Can you explain? Thanks.
