CPU loading textures and shadows slowly

Hi guys! I recently got a GTX 1050 TI and the card runs perfect. I do have a bottleneck, but i can live with it. My CPU is A10-5800k. I tested 3 games and i noticed this problem in all 3. The games being: CSGO, H1Z1 King of the Kill, and GTA V. Its more noticable in gta considering im driving all the time and it all of a sudden loads in the building textures. It could at the same time be my CPU, as when i used my APU i dont recall having this problem (then again everything was on the lowest possible so i couldnt tell a texture loading from the normal 800x600) Now as for the shadows, they load in late. As soon as i get closer to the object, it decides to load in, and even in GTA and sometimes CSGO depending on the shadow it will go to very high when close, but normal when far. It cant be my cpu usage, because even limiting the frames to 30 which will give more then enough cpu usage (goes down to about 60%) it still happens. Here is a video in gta v about what i mean.

Sorry for the bad performance, i wanted to turn the settings to the max. Also i was recording. Normally if i turn them to the max i get about 40-50fps.

I have SSD crucial 256gb. I turned on extended distance scaling and it still happens, but not as often. i have all the games on ssd btw.

Maybe try switching the shadow setting from "NVIDIA PCSS" to another option, and see if that improves anything. I don't have GTA V, but have heard of that setting resulting in some visual anomalies in that game. Temporarily turning down some other settings one at a time might help you determine where the problem lies as well. Another thing could also simply be that since you turned texture settings up after getting the new card, the higher-resolution textures simply take longer to load, or are getting shuffled around in and out of memory.

Hi, I have a similar issue with my GTX 1050Ti in GTA V, on my system i have concluded that it is down to the Nvidia PCSS.

To improve the game which i have found acceptable for me, is to reset the graphics and advanced graphics to the default and just live with that, graphically it is basically the same as an Xbox ONE (sad face) which i can testify to as my son plays it on Xbox.

The shadow option for me is not set to PCSS but set to softer.

I suspect there is some issue with PCSS and the GTX 1050Ti at the moment.
