I just wanted to share some freshly gotten experience about GPU overclocking

I've started to push my gtx 970 strix to its limit when it comes to overclocking and I eventually ran into a problem. The core couldn't get increased further without graphical issues when benchmarking. The voltage on my card is locked at 1.212V, so that's noting I could do much about, so I started to search for other factors that limited my progress. After a couple of hours of googling and watching gpu-z I realised the power limit had been reached. I started reading aobut ways to counter it and found out about custom bios. I finally created a custom bios where i only changed the power limit using this guide (http://www.overclock.net/t/1573308/nvidia-gtx-900-cards-custom-bios-upon-request) and this specific download (http://www.overclock.net/t/1521334/official-nvflash-with-certificate-checks-bypassed-for-gtx-950-960-970-980-980ti-titan-x) aswell as (this https://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/2562/maxwell-ii-bios-tweaker-v1-36)

Here is my furtest stable overclock before the new bios(using afterburner):
Core +234 (reached 1562Mhz in Heaven benchmark)
mem +510 (4016Mhz)
power target 120%
core voltage +0 (1.2120V)

And here is the overclock with the new bios applied(haven't pushed it very far yet)
core +243 (1572Mhz in Heaven benchmark)
mem +510 (4016Mhz)
power target 145% (reached 127,8% maximum while running Heaven)
core voltage +0 (still locked at 1.2120V)

I hope someone will find this helpful. I ceartainly would have, if I had this post before i solved the problem "myself".
