Strange high temperature on GPU

My Sapphire HD7950 OC 3GB is experimenting 90ºC on idle and 100ºC on 100% activity.

Context:

  • Bought the graphic card on June 2013. Approximately 3.5 years old.
Case well cooled with around 6 fans and 16-22 degrees in the room.
Rest of the components do not have heat problems.
    Drivers 17.1.1 from 17th January.
GPU has two fans working and double BIOS mode.
I applied thermal paste (Noctua NT-H1) two times on different days. GPU heat sink is clean.

Temperatures have not improved even if there are no apparent heat problems. These high temperatures range from 90ºC to 100ºC depending if it is idle or full activity. After some time playing my PC shuts down and FPS change constantly as if the GPU was reducing its performance not to damage from heat.

Possible problems my GPU might have:

  • Memory Thermal Pads might have suffered from the multiple cleaning and thermal paste applications I have done on GPU. However, they have not been removed and are still on the same places. (I should check again to guaratee it though).
GPU temperature sensor has broken and sends wrong data to Software.

To conclude, I want to show a graph on Temperatures, GPU clock and memories clock when playing a game.

Thanks for all the help,

Check another software if you can. Msi afterburner or Gpu-Z. If the temps are the same, then there is something wrong with the sensor (I doubt it) or with the thermal pads.
Hello... Basically the only "electro mechanical" part you have is the GPU fan(s) it's self... so they will be first in line for failure over any other "Solid State" device, over time/use. I have had to Clean, re-flash, replace GPU fans and Re-thermal paste Older GPU's as my only maintenance on them. B /

I already did it. I also installed an old driver from 2014. Of course, before installing new drivers I unistalled the previous installation with DDU. This does not work unfortunately
