gtx 1070 water or air

not seen any get that high outside of a HOF on LN2. the fps difference between 2 ghz and 2.1 is less than 1 fps in reality. getting another 50 mhz or so would translate to no perceivable gain real world. other than to say you have it that high, there is no reason to spend a ton of money and spend the time to do it.

the ftw card showed the same in game performance as the sc card despite being so much more expensive. the cards are just so tapped out already there is just nowhere else for them to go. very different from the last gen maxwell cards which could actually see big gains from the expensive cards.

Usually not much farther than gpu boost 3.0 will achieve on its own.

Versus a good open air cooler? No i highly doubt it, unless they are binning chips for whatever hybrid card you want to buy.

Maybe 100mhz or so past what gpu boost 3.0 will achieve on its own, on average. My 1060 will hit 1974mhz on its own, I can manually get it up to about 2080mhz stable any beyond that and it starts to artifact and eventually crashes. And thats at 55c or below with my msi gaming x card and a slightly tweaked custom fan profile.

all the reviews i have read show that you'll not get any better speed or in game fps out of the hybrid/watercooled models. they will of course run a lot cooler at those high speeds but that's all. a few of these models are even reference based cards like the msi seahawk x and evga hybrid gaming. others are based on custom boards, yet yield no extra performance.

Really want to brake the 2100mhz mark ://
