NVIDIA or manufacturer's drivers

Is it better to use the Manufacturer's srivers or NVIDIA website drivers or does it really matter

I would go through Nvidias website using geforce experience, they will always have the most up to date drivers.

I agree, use NVIDIA drivers either through their website or through geforce experience. I actually like geforce experience myself and just let it do the optimizations for me. Either way is good.

I would agree with the previous posts unless you are talking about a laptop PC. Usually laptop graphics drivers are heavily optimized by the manufacturer, and therefore are not updated as frequently as a desktop graphics driver.

Laptop- definitely stick with the manufacturers drivers. Unless they are no longer supporting the laptop and you have a problem you think new drivers would fix. But even then, in that case, it probably won't help to use Nvidia drivers.

Desktop- assuming it's a new card then use Nvidia's newest drivers. If it's a used card, I'd first research online what owners of that card might have to say about which drivers work best. When AMD or Nvidia release new drivers to help their new cards play the newest games, that doesn't automatically make those driver relevant to owners of older cards.

Usually the the manufacturer drivers also bring the manufacturers software. You can download the latest drivers from nVidia and the the standalone manufacturers software from their website if you wish.
