How much could this go for?

Initially I was planning a components upgrade where I would upgrade just the ram and the processor but my motherboard is a bit older now and isn't compatible with newer processors and ddr4 ram so I have to do an all out upgrade.

What im trying to do before I upgrade, is get an idea of how much I can make selling my current components.
My question is, how much could these parts go for, in regards to individual components?
keep in mind I live in canada so parts here are roughly $100 more than in the u.s.

System:
motherboard: Asus p8v 77z lx
processor: intel i5 3570k 3.40ghz
ram: corsair vengeance 8gigs
Tower: haf cooler master midsize

Unless you're planning to do an i7 build I wouldn't do a rebuild. The gains between ivy and kaby aren't gigantic. Unless something is failing/has failed I'd hang on a bit longer

Problem is, i need at least 16 gigs of ram for making music in pro tools. Is it worth spending the money on ddr3 ram at this point?

Ah ok cool, I also game as well so I guess ddr3 ram will be good for a few more years?

Sorry one last question, I read a description of the trident ram and it said
"XMP Ready for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and Z77 platform"

forgive my ignorance but certain ram is only compatible with certain processors?
