I built my PC in August, and recently I've had problems with it constantly restarting it. Usually I can use it for about 2 minutes and it restarts, but sometimes it gets stuck in a boot loop. I tried turning off automatic restarts in windows and booting in safe mode, but neither had any effect. I checked the thermals and there seemed to be no problems with that. I'm pretty certain it's a hardware problem.
The build is :
i5-6600k
EVGA 850W P2
MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon
16gb EVGA SuperSC 3200 RAM
Samsung 850 Evo
I tested it without the other components and the problem persisted so we can rule out the GPU and such.
I tried resetting the CMOS, which didn't work, and then eventually thought it was maybe due to a bad MOBO, so I bought a new one (Asus Maximus Hero IX), but it had no effect. I tested the power supply by itself, and didn't notice it restarting. I tested each RAM stick individually, but the computer still kept on restarting. I tried to run memtest and managed to get through one pass before the it restarted, but it showed no errors. I'm basically out of ideas now.
Does anybody know what I can do to diagnose or fix this problem?
