Hello guys,

I'm planning to setup a country wide gaming VPN ( for reducing ping obvio ). I haven't yet bought the hardware and hence would like to ask for help as this is my first time. There will be 100+ VPN users with an estimated max 50 concurrent connections . I will be using PPTP protocol. Each user will require roughly 30-40 KBps.
The game server is located in Singapore ( Dota 2 SEA ) and one of the ISPs provide a good routing to it.( I live in nepal) So, I want to route the users through this WAN.
NIC 1 - 1.1.1.1 - will be the main internet connection.
NIC 2 - 2.2.2.2 - will be intranet connection that can be accessible by users of my country . but no internet

What I want is:
Clients will connect to my VPN server through intranet ( 2.2.2.2 ) , but intranet doesnt have internet so client will get public IP of 1.1.1.1. The connection to Singapore game server will get forwarded through NIC1 to the internet. Also a firewall is needed between the client and the server for allowing only the gameserver.

Is this setup possible ? Please recommend me hardwares and configurations. Thanks !

Your whole plan is flawed. VPN by itself does not decrease the ping time. The only way it would work would be if you had a better connection to the server from your location than the normal ISP did. Lets take a unrealistic case and say you had a fiber run directly from your house under the ocean to the server. Everyone else lets say had to connect using fibers that run to say india though mumbai...which is where most the fiber goes in your area of the world. You at that point could get a better ping. It does nothing to setup a vpn that runs over the same fiber paths as the normal ISP. In fact it will be a bit slower because of all the overhead of the vpn.

You are in way over your head if you do not understand the basics of vpn and think you are going to setup a international network.

If you don't wanna help just go away.
I KNOW WHAT IM DOING . Among all of my ISPs in my country one of them provide good routing to Singapore because they have direct connection to Singtel of Singapore whereas others go through TATA india and tata has a very bad routing ( takes us to hongkong on the way to singapore ).

I know what I'm doing . If you dont wanna help then just please go away . I just needed a solution for forwarding intranet traffic to internet. oh shit .. why am i typing this all ... just go away please. if you dont wanna help.

Asking for assistance, and then yelling at people who are trying to give you actual, professional advice....generally is not a winning combination.

From the limited info you've given (some of it quite wrong), there is no way to answer your 'question' of..."Please recommend me hardwares and configurations."

If you "know what you are doing", then you, in cooperation with your ISP, should be able to arrive at a configuration and hardware setup for this international gaming system.

"who are trying to give you actual, professional advice" wow . such a nice professional advice he gave me . all he was doing was explaining me what is a vpn and how ping reduction works and taking me as a noob WHICH I AINT - "You are in way over your head if you do not understand the basics of vpn". I AM NOT A NOOB . dont judge a book by its cover . if i am new to toms hardware doesnt mean i am a noob and i should get criticized by the reputed members here.
anyway ill take your suggestion and talk with my isp . please close the topic .
