Cpu fan don't spin when adding dvd drive.

Hello!
My problem is that:
When i connect dvd drive to the pc the cpu's fan stop spinning.
My computer specs are:
Motherboard:Gigabyte h110m-s2h
Cpu:Intel core i5 6500 with stock fan
Video graphics:From the cpu
Ram:Hyperx 16 GB DDR4 2133Mhz
Psu:Corsair VS650

I can't think of any reason that would happen, are you sure that the cpu fan is plugged into the proper CPU fan header (should say CPU1 or something) and is securely fastened?

Very odd situation. That shouldn't happen. I'd check all your cable connections to make sure things are setup properly. If they are, seems like an electrical short or defect somewhere causing your situation.

Thanks for the answers! I just connected the dvd drive using another sata cable and it works now.
