Dear all,

I'm not sure whether this thread belongs in this section so feel free to move it to a more appropriate section.

This would be my first time assembling my mid range gaming rig, so I am hoping it goes well. I've selected the parts based on the hardware available here > http://cdn.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf

My budget is around 800 AUD. Can anyone kindly comment on the parts that I have selected and let me know whether it is compatible with each other. Thank you!

AM3+ x8 FX-8320 $205.00
Asus H110M-K $79.00
DDR4 8G Single 2133 Crucial $65.00
NVIDIA 2G GTX 1050 MSI OC $188.00
Seagate 3.5" Barracuda 1TB $65.00
Thermaltake TR2 S 80 Plus 550W $63.00
Thermaltake USB3.0 Versa H24 $57.00
Philips 200V4QSBR $109.00

Solution
Here is a quick example. These parts are the best you'll get for $800AUD, but this doesn't even come with windows.

lots of things wrong with your picks, AMD CPU, Intel Board, wrong memory types. etc. etc. your pick should look like if your picking that AMD cpu as starting point. and if you click on the PCPARTSPICKER Parts list link you c an even edit it yourself and make changes and see "what if"

Thank you everyone for the advice! I didn't even realised how badly I screwed up with my selection choice. Let me looks through your recommendations and come out with a more suitable setup.

Hey all,

I've made some slight amendments to the setup. The website mentions it's compatible, but please do comment on my choices (especially the casing selected).

Thanks!

I'd personally really drop the SSD or the HDD for a better graphics card, but that's up to you.

What I would suggest however is a FreeSync monitor if you can slot it into your budget.

Take a look at this:

IMO Gaming would be a lot more enjoyable when the RX 470 4GB that can reach 1080p@75fps in most games at high/ultra with the addition of FreeSync technology. Again, adaptive sync technology is a must when It's in your price range.

Bit of tinkering gets you 1050ti & a better PSU in there.

The n200 is a great budget case too , plain looks like the silencio , good build quality, good preinstalled cooling.

You guys have been fantastic is helping me with this! I've learned so much.

@CTurbo - Unfortunately the store I am getting from doesnt have the XFX version. Instead, I'll go for the Corsair CX550m. Apologies for my initial 800 AUD budget as I brokedown after seeing the difference between RX 460 and 470.

@RCFProd - After seeing your recommendation, I broke down and instead decided to go for a RX470 with a FreeSync Monitor.

@madmatt30 - Thanks for your tinkering and recommendation! Unfortunately the shop Im planning to buy does not have the n200 in stock. So i'm still searching for a casing which they have.

Will keep you guys updated.

The cx450m is good enough mate for literally any Intel chip & any current gen GPU if its substantially cheaper.

List a few cases available to you if you like??
You'll get a recommendation of best pick if you do.
In all fairness the silencio you listed is a decent case.
There may be better value for money options though.
