So, I currently have a Core 2 Duo E6400 in an old dell Optiplex 745 computer that is used for basic tasks, However I have managed to buy a Pentium E5300 for £1.65, Will this Pentium at all be an upgrade to me?

The Also only has 1gb of DDR2 at the moment and uses the integrated graphics when it is occasionally plugged into a display.

Thanks for the help in advance!!

Solution
An upgrade? Maybe a little bit.
For $2, try it.

But the 1GB RAM and the integrated graphics seriously limit what you might see as an 'upgrade'.

It's a downgrade compared to the c2d.

I was going to upgrade the RAM later on, and the computer is not doing anything that would require a faster video card.
