Hi, Got a new motherboard over Christmas which came with 1 stick of pre installed ram.
CORSAIR 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Mine is
SN: CMZ16GX3M2A1600C9 Ver 5.23
New one is
SN: CMZ8GX3MA1A1600C10 Ver 5.20
So thought i would treat it to another 8gb, so got what i thought was a identical stick of ram. Same design, still DDR3 8gb 1600mhz.. but after installing across all Dimm slots, and even on its own it wouldn't boot.
So had both Ram side by side, and only difference really was a version number... mine is ver5.23..... new one is ver5.20
DOES THIS MATTER!!! Though maybe because 2 versions numbers it wouldn't boot... but that doesn't explain why it wont work on its own....
Am i missing something here please help
